POCUS at Celtic Podiatry

At our clinic, we are proud to offer Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) as part of our advanced musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry services. Following the Institute of Podiatrists (IoP) position statement, we use this valuable clinical tool to support faster, more accurate decision-making for our patients.

What is POCUS?

POCUS involves the use of limited, focused ultrasound scans performed at the bedside during your consultation. It is not the same as a comprehensive departmental ultrasound scan carried out by a radiologist or sonographer. Instead, it is a quick, real-time imaging tool that helps us assess soft tissues, joints, tendons, ligaments, and other structures in the foot and ankle.
